DESCRIPTION:JCA is pleased to invite you to a series of four Maricopa County Justice Reinvestment Grant Info Sessions happening in October 2023. We are offering 4 opportunities (2 in-person and 2-virtual) to get important information to help your organization prepare for the RFP scheduled for release on Oct 16th. \n\n\nProposition 207\, the Smart and Safe Arizona Act\, was passed by voters in 2020. In addition to legalizing adult recreational use of marijuana\, it created a Justice Reinvestment Fund using 10% of the sales tax on state sales of recreational cannabis. A portion of those funds are distributed to each County Health Department (in proportion to the population) to distribute via grants to qualified nonprofit organizations to provide justice reinvestment programs in that county. \n\n\nJoin us to learn about Maricopa County Health Department’s Justice Reinvestment grant opportunities\, eligibility criteria\, application details\, and to connect with fellow advocates for Justice reinvestment. \n\n\nWed Oct 4th-(12-2pm)-Maryvale Community Ctr\n4420 N. 51St Ave\, Phx
