Wondering what to do?
Join or Support Arizona Safe Communities Coalition
Arizona Faith Network is proud to co-lead the launch of the Safe Communities Coalition, founded in partnership with ONE Community and numerous statewide faith, community, and nonprofit partners. This bold new initiative is dedicated to protecting diverse faith spaces and historically targeted communities through training, outreach, strategic monitoring, and rapid response.
With extremist threats and hate crimes rising—up 25% across Arizona in the past five years—the Coalition is a proactive response to ensure that all people, regardless of background or belief, can live, worship, and gather in safety. The Coalition supports crisis response and resilience-building for communities of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, and religious minorities.
Thanks to support from the Vitalyst Health Foundation, the Coalition has named Paul Rockower as its inaugural Director, bringing expertise in public diplomacy, interfaith collaboration, and crisis management.
Join us in building safer communities for all.

Tucson Migra Map
Dugan Meyer, Ph.D. student in the University of Arizona’s School of Geography, Development and Environment, built the Tucson Migra Map in response to an influx of local ICE reports and sightings, from groups including Tucson’s Rapid Response Team and everyday Tucsonans using social media and online forums to document activity.
The map uses icons to document reports of ICE activity, including stakeouts, aerial surveillance, vehicle stops and raids. It also includes a heat map, with dark red areas indicating higher concentrations of reported ICE activity.

They say, “Each tool is crafted to be completed in 5 to 20 minutes, making it an ideal starting point. After all, it’s not a matter of if life’s storms will come, but how we navigate through them when they do.”
